When AI Becomes a Core Capability for Enterprise Operations
Speaking at the seminar, Mr. Le Quang Vinh Phuc, Senior Executive Vice President and Deputy Director of the Enterprise Division at FPT IS, FPT Corporation, emphasized:
“AI is no longer a technology of the future, it has become a strategic priority for organizations seeking to improve productivity and strengthen their competitive advantage. To unlock sustainable value from AI, businesses need a well-defined implementation roadmap along with a suitable technology platform. With its experience and expertise, FPT is always committed to support organizations throughout this journey, not only with cloud and AI infrastructure, but also through optimized business processes, managed services, and an AI platform that enables tailored AI use cases for every enterprise.”

Sharing insights into the current state of enterprise AI adoption, Mr. Nguyen Quang Minh, Director of the AI Consulting & Innovation Center (AI Lab) at FPT Smart Cloud, FPT Corporation, stated: “AI is no longer a ‘nice-to-have’ technology, it has become a ‘must-have’ that defines an organization’s competitive advantage.”
Drawing on FPT’s experience in supporting organizations throughout their AI transformation journeys, the company has developed FPT CASAN, an AI maturity assessment and transformation framework for enterprises and organizations. The framework defines five maturity levels: Curious, Augmented, Standard, Automatic, and Native. Through the CASAN methodology, enterprises and organizations can assess their current stage of AI maturity and receive a tailored transformation roadmap designed to help them evolve from isolated AI experiments into AI-driven business value, ultimately progressing toward the highest level of AI maturity.

With its ecosystem of intelligent AI agents, FPT.AI supports organizations throughout every stage of AI transformation; from optimizing operational efficiency to enhancing customer experience. During his presentation, Mr. Minh also demonstrated an end-to-end AI agent workflow, illustrating how multiple AI agents receive tasks, collaborate with humans, coordinate with one another, and execute complex workflows to solve real-world business challenges. These capabilities help organizations improve workforce productivity while delivering stronger business outcomes.
Speaking on the topic “Cloud as an AI Enablement Platform: From Infrastructure, Data, and Security to Enterprise-Scale AI,” Mr. Bui Song Toan, Deputy Director of the Cloud Platform Services Development Center at FPT Smart Cloud, explained that cloud should no longer be viewed simply as infrastructure for running workloads. Instead, it should be recognized as a platform where enterprise data is standardized, governed, and prepared for AI before any AI application is deployed. However, few organizations have successfully deployed AI at enterprise scale because their data remains fragmented, inconsistent, and insufficiently governed. According to Mr. Toan, the greatest challenge is no longer the AI model itself, but the ability to unify and govern enterprise data, an essential prerequisite for successful AI implementation.
“Organizations must prioritize building a unified data foundation. Only then can AI deliver meaningful business value and drive tangible operational transformation.” To address this challenge, FPT has developed the FPT Cloud Ecosystem, integrating AI Factory and Data Platform to help organizations establish a unified data foundation, scale AI applications, and accelerate sustainable digital transformation.

Applying AI to Real Business Operations
Once organizations have established a strong data and infrastructure foundation, the next question becomes: How can AI be applied to deliver tangible operational value? Mr. Dao Trong Nguyen, Director of Business Development for Made by FPT at FPT IS, highlighted a challenge familiar to many organizations: operating multiple disconnected systems inevitably creates data silos. As a result, senior executives lack a complete real-time operational view for decision-making, middle managers have to assign tasks via phone or text messages leading to missed tasks. Simultaneously, employees must log into too many different systems. Over time, these disconnected processes create operational blind spots, increase errors and inefficiencies, and ultimately reduce organizational productivity.
To address these challenges, Mr. Nguyen introduced NEXT IOC, FPT’s next-generation intelligent operations center. Integrated with AI agents, the platform delivers intelligent alerts, operational analysis, and enables executives to assign tasks directly from customizable operational dashboards. These dashboards are designed specifically for different leadership roles, including CEOs, CFOs, sales directors, manufacturing leaders, and HR executives. The platform has achieved level 4 within FPT’s five-level AI maturity model, integrates with national digital platforms such as NDXP and VNeID, and can be deployed within 12–16 weeks with 24/7 operational support.

Following the in-depth presentations from technology experts, the seminar featured a real-world AI transformation case study presented by Thipha Cable Joint Stock Company. Mr. Le Thanh Phong, Head of IT Infrastructure & Support at Thipha Cable, explained that before migrating to the cloud, the IT team spent most of its time operating and maintaining physical infrastructure rather than driving technology innovation. The organization also faced hardware reliability challenges and limited scalability. “With nearly 40 years of development, Thipha Cable has become one of Vietnam’s leading manufacturers of electrical wires and cables. Migrating our IT infrastructure to the cloud represented an important milestone in our digital transformation journey toward smart manufacturing and sustainable growth.” To secure approval from the board of directors, including international investors, the team conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the hidden costs associated with on-premises infrastructure and compared them with a cloud-based approach across key criteria including stability, security, cost efficiency, and operational risk.
Following this assessment, FPT was selected as the implementation partner based on its ERP cloud expertise, extensive experience delivering successful transformation projects, and its ability to provide end-to-end support through a single point of contact.

Image 6. A representative from Thipha Cable shared the company’s journey in securing approval from the board of directors and explained why it chose FPT as its digital transformation partner
From a technical perspective, Mr. Lê Hùng Cường, Technology Consulting Expert at FPT IS, FPT Corporation, shared four key factors for a successful core system migration to the cloud:
- Aligning objectives between the project team and the customer.
- A deep understanding of the existing system.
- Close collaboration throughout the implementation process.
- Applying a proven implementation methodology that has been used in numerous projects, while remaining flexible to each enterprise’s specific requirements.
With approximately 2 terabytes of system data, the project successfully limited migration downtime to 6–8 hours, carrying out the transition overnight during the weekend after multiple rounds of testing. As a result, Thipha Cable’s system now operates significantly more reliably, while its IT team has been freed from day-to-day infrastructure management, allowing them to focus on higher-value initiatives such as data standardization, data utilization, and future AI adoption.
Summarizing the panel discussion from both business and technical perspectives, Mr. Nguyễn Văn Trường, Director of the Technical Resource Center at FPT IS, FPT Corporation, highlighted three key takeaways from Thipha Cable’s transformation journey.
First, migrating ERP systems to the cloud is not simply about adopting a new technology platform. It is also about ensuring security, minimizing operational risk, and optimizing business operations. Second, the success of a cloud migration project depends on a detailed and precise implementation methodology that can be tailored to each enterprise’s specific context. Third, only when core systems operate reliably can organizations establish a strong foundation for future AI adoption.
The seminar concluded with perspectives on the enterprise AI transformation journey, covering everything from building data foundations and cloud infrastructure to applying AI in real-world business operations. The event also provided a valuable space for experts and business leaders to exchange insights, discuss challenges, and share practical experiences from their transformation journeys. Looking ahead, FPT announced its AI First strategic direction for 2026, alongside continued investment in five core technology pillars: Quantum AI, Cybersecurity, UAVs, Data, and Railway Technology. FPT is committed to helping enterprises develop and master strategic technologies, making AI a core element of business management and operations.
